ETH Merge

Important Information About The Merge with hi

A Massive Moment in Ethereum's History

Here’s what you need to know about how we are preparing for the Ethereum Merge at hi.

First up, it’s important to highlight that we expect The Merge to be seamless for hi members, with only limited, precautionary service interruption to ETH and ERC-20 deposits & withdrawals.

If you hold ETH and ERC-20 holdings with hi, there is no action required of you but please make sure you read on so you are aware of the changes.

We Fully Support The Merge

  • We fully support Ethereum’s new Proof of Stake (PoS) mechanism, and the improvements it will bring to the network and community as a whole.

  • Our team anticipates a smooth transition to PoS, which will occur in two stages, the Bellatrix and Paris Upgrades.

  • To ensure the safety of our members’ assets, we will take the precautionary measure of temporarily pausing ETH & ERC-20 token deposits and withdrawals during the upgrades.

  • Subject to conditions and rigorous review, we would consider the distribution and trading of forked tokens on our platform, in the event of one or more Proof of Work (PoW) forks.

Scheduled Service Interruptions

As a precaution, we will temporarily pause ETH and ERC-20 deposits and withdrawals on the hi platform during both of the planned Ethereum upgrades, which are scheduled:

(scheduled for September 6th 2022, 11:34:47 AM UTC)
Temporary service interruption in the hours before, during, and after the upgrade.

(scheduled for September 10-20, 2022)
The actual time depends on the PoW hash rate, current estimates suggest approx. 15-16th September.

We will monitor the network for stability following the upgrade, and notify the community once normal service resumes.
